The single girder crane features a single bridge girder, two different end trucks on both the sides and a trolley hoist that runs alongside the bottom flange of the single bridge girder between both the end trucks. One of the greatest advantages of this crane is that it enables a direct transfer of the hoist trolley which lies between the suspension monorail and the crane. The flexible ball and socket connection between the carriages and the crane girder allows the single girder crane to work even on the tracks which are not parallel.
